I’m Ian Mennear and I provide quality editorial services for individuals, corporates and everyone in between. I’m self-employed, trading as ‘Fixer of Words‘, and am always open to business. Equipped with industry-recognised proofreading and copyediting training from the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), I abide by its Code of Practice, so you can rest assured that you’re in professional, safe hands.

I acquired years of in-house experience in quality assuring government agency reports and assessments – and many more from communication-focused roles in fundraising negotiation and television production. Now I provide my editorial services to a range of clients across the world, proofreading/editing content for books, reports, videos, social media platforms, websites, academic papers, CVs/resumes, scripts/screenplays, comic books and more.

Currently I’m writing my first fantasy fiction novel, but my linguistic flair developed years ago and was enriched by my BA Honours Degree in Classics (Latin & Ancient Greek) from University College London.

Living in London, I enjoy its lively, cosmopolitan vibe and I thrive on doing business and mixing with people from all walks of life. I’m a dedicated family man with particularly strong links to north-east England and East Africa.
